Port Everglades Association Business Luncheon, 11.30am – 1.30pm at Lauderdale Yacht Club. “REDCON: Always at the Ready at Port Everglades.”  Leaders of a trio of locally based world-class maritime emergency response organizations, Cliff Berry Inc., Resolve Marine and the Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue & Emergency Services Department are all based right here at Port Everglades and are always in Readiness Condition (REDCON) often working collaboratively in a broad range of critical circumstances, as well as furnishing vital training to responders from around the globe. Greater Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Convention Center. Transportation is our focus with a theme of “Planes, Trains, Ships and Automobiles.As Port Everglades Association celebrates its 45-year anniversary, the longtime premier gathering of Broward County business leaders is taking on a dynamic transportation twist, focusing on Broward’s Airport, Seaport and Transit progress. From new master plan initiatives to Broward County Transit’s Premium Mobility Plan (PREMO) to interconnectivity advances, transportation is geared up to keep our county moving forward for generations to come.     Groundbreaking for the Port Everglades Bypass Road took place this week at the Broward County Convention Center Marshalling Yard in Fort Lauderdale. The $55-million infrastructure project involves the construction of a bypass road creating a direct connection to Broward County Convention Center and reducing congestion to US 1 and SE 17th Street.

Emissions Reduction Community Meeting. 1.30pm – 3.30pm.  Free to join us to discuss projects aimed at improving our air quality.  Port Everglades is pursuing three grants for emission-reducing projects. Experts will address grant opportunities from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Ports Program and the U.S. Maritime Administration’s Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP).
